As part of the second release in The Macallan Home Collection, The Macallan partnered with artist Michelle Lucking to celebrate the iconic River Spey through a series of original artworks and limited-edition giclée prints. Lineup Studios was commissioned to develop and deliver the accompanying art folio, overseeing artwork reproduction, packaging development, production management and final supply to create a collector experience worthy of both the artist and the brand.
The Challenge
The folio needed to do more than simply house a set of prints. The challenge was to faithfully reproduce the subtle detail, texture and movement of Michelle Lucking's original pastel artworks while creating a premium presentation format that reflected the craftsmanship and quality associated with The Macallan. Every aspect of the experience needed to meet the standards of both the artist and the brand while being suitable for global distribution.
The Idea
Lineup Studios managed the end-to-end development of a bespoke collector folio containing three fine art giclée art prints reproduced from the artist's original River Spey paintings. Working closely with stakeholders, we controlled the artwork reproduction process to ensure exceptional colour accuracy, detail and print quality, while developing a protective and elegant presentation structure that enhanced the collector experience.
The resulting folio was designed to celebrate the River Spey as an enduring source of inspiration for The Macallan, presenting the artwork in a format that reflected the same care and craftsmanship invested in the whisky itself.

The finished art folios were produced, assembled and supplied ready for global distribution alongside the whisky release.
